For almost one hundred years Easton residents have enjoyed the endowed Frothingham Memorial Park. Also, for many decades elementary students enjoyed receiving Christmas gifts such as a truck or a doll from Mary Ames Frothingham (Mrs. Louis Adams Frothingham). I particularly was very fortunate to have her pay for my room and board at Bridgewater State College from 1950-1954. She believed it would be more beneficial for me to live on campus than to commute. I definitely was able to enjoy many more educational, civic, and social experiences. Also, Easton has been very fortunate to have both of her buildings now public buildings--Frothingham Memorial Hall and her beautiful home "Wayside" as our town office. Definitely an extraordinary person devoted to Easton and its residents.
